Wildflowers

Across the campus wildflower turf has been installed to identified areas not only to brighten them up with the wonderful mix of colours but also to provide essential food for our very important pollinators including bees, hoverflies and butterflies . The picture below is taken close to our pond and the Wilfred Brown building.

Are you able to share where you got your wildflower turf from? I have done the same but I am not happy with it. Also, there is a patch of wildflowers on the corner of the science park. Was this seeded or Turf? It looks to be mainly poppy, cornflower and oxeye daisy. This is what I would like to recreate.

Wildflower turf supplied by; https://www.wildflowerturf.co.uk/ check out their website as there is some very useful information there and they are very helpful. When first laid turf looks a bit patchy but once the plants get their roots in it establishes very quickly. If your thinking of adjacent to the Mary Secole building this area has been seeded using a mix of annual and perennial seed supplied by Pictorial meadows.
      Hope this helps
